The Raggy Ass Boys - Dead Men Walking 2019

It's one thing to prolific and another thing to be consistently good. But when a band is both, you just know there are top shelf. While The Raggy Ass Boys are one of those bands and they have only been around a couple of years now. With the release of their sophomore album  "Dead Men Walking" ,these kats have firmly cemented a rep as a killer modern rockabilly. This puppy punches in with 14 original tracks of sweet and stout rockabilly/ neorockabilly. It's easily on par and at times better than their debut album "Ugly Betty " and that should tell you how good it is.With  slow burners to all out rockers, this has a solid and kool vibe from start to finish. Highlights include: "Cellphone Zombie" , "The Ripper",  "Better If You Died" and "Manson's Ranch"

The Hoodoo Tones – Here To Stay 2018

The Hoodoo Tones made quite the splash back in 2016 with their pretty stout debut  album "Confessions Of A Loner". Not only was it a critical success, but rumor had it that Rhythm Bomb couldn't keep it in stock. It's easy to see why; these cats play damn catchy and refreshing rockabilly / rock n roll. The band's latest offering and sophomore effort "Here To Stay" is one sweet and rockin'  slab that nails it.Clocking in with 11 originals and 1 cover  of wild modern rockabilly with a damn healthy and equal  shot of straight up rock n roll. This time out they  raise the bar and rev it up.Hell for the most part this is one urgent and refreshing ride .They throw one slow burner and a country track just to mix it up and keep you on your toes.Highlights include: " Here To Stay" , " The Hunter", " Ernie The Virgin", "Do It For The Road" and "Suicide Boogie"

The kings of Sleaze-a-billy are about to head off into the sunset. That's right Jack Rabbit Slim are packing it in and going out with a bang.Since their start back in 2004 these cats have constantly raised the bar and have never failed to deliver the goods.Their discography bears out that this is one killer and unique  rock n roll band. That said the band's final  album, " Despedida" ( Spanish  for farewell)  has now dropped and it's save to say  these cats are going out on top. Punching the clock with 12 originals, this puppy pulls no punches .Basically they stay the course and as a result we get that distinct JRS sound . It's a  mix of straight up rocknroll, billy, with  little shots of surf ,country and r&b  . It's pretty much what you would want or expect from them,so you know it's damn good.Highlights include: Time To Bop", "Train Wreck ", The Mirror" "Tight But Loose" and the movin' and groovin' " Mojo Risin' "

EightBomb - High Heeled Devil 2018

When tragedy struck EightBomb back in 2015 they could have easily packed it in but instead they regrouped and continued on. Kudos to them and as a result "bombabilly" lives on and that's a good thing. EightBomb has always been a kool and unique act, their blend of neorockabilly, rock n roll and punkabilly has lead the band to be coined "original not traditional rock n roll". That said these cats are back with their 5th and latest release,"High Heeled Devil" and this puppy doesn't disappoint.Clocking in with 8 winning tracks that deliver the goods. It may not be as sonic as some of their pass work is, but it's a more balanced attack and still manages to punch it up at times. We also get 2 members taking turns on lead vocals, which helps spice up the affair . Also Jeroen Hammers (Batmobile) makes a guest appearance on the track "A Scar".Highlights include:: Killer Babe", "Empty Heart", Nice Neverless" and " High Heeled Devil".

EightBomb have mixed it up a bit with "High Heeled Devil" and despite only 8 tracks ,this is a sweet slice of neobilly/rock n roll .Hell it's bombabilly and you gotta like that.Recommended!!!
