The Coffin Daggers - Aggravatin’ Rhythms 2016

The Coffin Daggers  may not have a big discography for a band that's been around since 1999.Hell they have released a couple of singles ,an ep and only 2 albums, the last been in 2011. However each release has  been pretty impressive. This is one surf punk outfit that knows how too do some serious damage and as a result there is a large, loyal and growing  fan base for these kats.In 2015 the band hitched up with Cleopatra Records and the results are now out  with their third album " Aggravatin’ Rhythms". This  mad puppy comes out swinging  hard, fast and most of all delivers on all accounts. We get 14 tracks (a mix of originals  and  covers) of instrumental surf punk that range from garagy  to smash mouth .This is a powerful brew that's stirred with hard driving guitar and a damn kool organ. Highlights include:  "Instigator", "Five-Five", " The Thing" , and " Wake Up Screaming".
There was some buzz surrounding the release of  "Aggravatin’ Rhythms' "and that was good to see. This is one very strong and intense album but it's a fun ride to boot .Yeah it kicks butt and that's what you would expect.  Highly Recommended!!!     https://www.facebook.com/coffindagger/timeline    http://coffindaggers.com/

The Green Reflectors - S/T 2015

For a band that describes itself as just a little duo,The Green Reflectors sure make a ton of commotion.Hailing from Nova Scotia this instrumental duo is known as the non-surf ,surf band .What these kats lay down is a blistering mix of surf ,punk and at times hard rock into a refreshing brew of smash mouth Instrumental surf based rock.Their first  2 albums had very limited runs but still managed to snag some international attention .That said the band's 3rd  self titled effort is now out  and one has to be impressed .Coming in with 18 original  tracks of smash mouth surf rock that could wake the dead. There is no messing around here as most of the tracks come in at under 2 minutes and only a couple touch the 3 minute barrier.Hell this hits hard and fast and leaves you wanting more.Highlights include: "Blowtorch", "The Not So Surf Song", "Rocket Booster", "Kreetlugget" and "Magnum Swagger".

The Green Reflectors  are a band that understands what it means to deliver more bang for your buck and you gotta like that. This is one of those albums that hooks, then reels  you in and delivers in spades .Highly recommended!  https://www.facebook.com/The-Green-Reflectors-51648788591/timeline

It's been 10 years now since  Los Tiki Phantoms  rode their first wave and over that time they have become  one the most popular surf bands in the world and rightfully so.Their 3 albums and 2 singles are a testament to just how good they really are. This is a surf band that not only mixes it up but also can light it up.From traditional to garage to smash mouth and spaghetti, these kats can  not  only cover the surf map  but do it well to boot. It's been 4 years since their last album so the recent release of " El Misterio Del Talisman" will have fans jumping for joy. This new puppy crashes ashore with  a punch,we get 15 killer tracks that get the job done.
