Hellbilly Club - Terror Tales 2018

For over 23 years now  the Hellbilly Club as been dishing out some tasty and at times eclectic rockabilly/ psychobilly. With a rap sheet of 7 albums under their belts, this outfit has proven to be a damn good and unique. They also aren't afraid to change things up. It's been 4 years  since they released the impressive "Subhumanos", their last album. Now  their eighth album, "Terror Tales"is out and one again they have shifted gears. This time out we get 12 tracks of damn stout old school psychobilly. It's also a big shot of horror, from ghost ,witches, the undead and more. But don't be fooled here this is one fun ride.We also get a blast of hard driving slapping bass and twangy guitars, that make this a brisk and kool affair.Highlights include: "She Came Back From The Grave", "Spanish Kats Attack", "You'll Be My Victim", and "Lost In The Jungle"

With "Terror Tales",the Hellbilly Club have shown they still have a whack a gas in the tank and they can still surprise .This is a pretty strong release that you should throw some of your hard earned cash down on. Highly recommended!

Legacaster - Boppin' Guitar 2015

Some bands are just damn good, case in point : Legacaster, these Spanish cats not only have a ton of pedigree but also have the talent to step things up.Their rock n roll /rockabilly sounds like it was laid down in the 50's,yet still sparkles with a kool freshness. Just one listen to the band's 2013 ep  "Black Hot Rod" will leave you more than convinced. The band's long awaited album " Boppin' Guitar" is now out on Kattrina Records and again they nail it. Clocking in  at around 21 minutes, this puppy bops, moves fast and is short and sweet. We get 9 tracks (7 originals) of  straight up rockabilly/rock n roll that aim to please . Highlights include: "Boppin Guitar", " Dancin' Shoes", "A Real Lady", "Crazy Daisy" and the instrumental "Terror's Night Out". Hell there isn't a bad track to be found.

Mad Martin Trio - Time To Go Mad 2015

In just over a year the Mad Martin Trio have done more than most bands do in a few years.Since roaring out off the starting line in early 2014 they have won a major Spanish battle of the bands contest(over 1200 bands),played a whack of shows, put out an ep, a mini album  and now a debut full album.Hell there is some major word of mouth about these kats and it's all good. They may be a "new" but there is a whack of pedigree here and they really are a damn good band. The full debut album "Time To Go Mad" struts in with 11 originals and 3 covers of straight up kool rockabilly/rock n roll that's hard to resist .From mid tempo tracks to all out rockers with little shades of country and blues thrown into mix. This is a strong and  diverse album that stands up to repeated listening. Highlights include: " How Bad Can A Good Girl Get ", "Todd the Gambler","Eileen" and " I Dared The Devil".
The Mad Martin Trio have more than lived up to all the buzz about them with " Time To Go Mad ". Straight up; this is a damn good album that pulls no punches and you should throw some of your hard earned dollars down on.Recommended!!  https://www.facebook.com/MadMartintrio/timeline  http://www.madmartintrio.com/  https://www.reverbnation.com/madmartintrio7

Marcos Sendarrubias - High Voltage Rockabilly 2014

Marcos Sendarrubias  is a force in Spanish rock n roll, hell many consider him a legendary figure in the Spanish music scene .From rock n roll to doo -wop to rockabilly and more, this kat has done it and does  it well. Since 1995 he's  been in  The Nitemares, The Moon River Trio and he's still going strong  with  the doo -wop group Del Prince. If that wasn't enough he as also been involved  in some way with a  list of artist as long as your arm (it actually is impressive). Now comes, surprisingly  his first solo album "  HIGH VOLTAGE ROCKABILLY " and this puppy kicks some butt .Punching in with 14 tracks that range from wild rockabilly ,to a little country to some raw rock n roll and it's all good.Of the 14 tracks, 12 have appeared  on Sendarrubias's previous  three 45's released by Carmela Records and 2 are brand new.Highlights include: "On The Dancefloor", " This Is A Robbery", " Daddy's Little Girl", " Marie".
Sendarrubias is backed up here  with a  who's who of Spanish rockabilly/rock n roll  (Charlie Hightone,  Tony "Ponyboy" Talavera , Carlos Lopez  Salomon Molina , Mario Cobo just to name a few). Even with all the  talent here ,what  really makes "High Voltage Rockabilly"  better than good is that it's chalked full of killer tunes. Highly Recommended !   https://www.facebook.com/marcossendarrubias/timeline
