The Green Reflectors - Tune-Up 2018

There are a couple things you should know about the surf / rock instrumental duo,The Green Reflectors .One they don't dick around.I'm talking these cats throw down frantic and fast songs that for the most part are under 3 minutes.Secondly their damn good and aren't afraid to blow the roof  off  the joint. Hell they also have a  rep as a must see band. With an already impressive rap sheet they have just added "Tune-Up",their latest and best release so far. This puppy smacks down with 14 original killer tracks that will light a fire under your ass. We get a blast of  instrumental rock  that mangles up with surf and surfpunk .It's a hard hitting ,fast paced thrill ride that pays off big. This time out they stretch their legs and  go over the 3 minute mark 4 times. Proving they can push it and succeed.High lights include: :Rip Rap", "Coke Can Crab", "Run Away", The Western Song" and Surf Sea D.C.".

Once again  The Green Reflectors deliver a big bang for your buck. They also up the ante here and as a result this will color you impressed. But then again if your familiar with them you probably already are.Highly recommended!!!

The Green Reflectors - S/T 2015

For a band that describes itself as just a little duo,The Green Reflectors sure make a ton of commotion.Hailing from Nova Scotia this instrumental duo is known as the non-surf ,surf band .What these kats lay down is a blistering mix of surf ,punk and at times hard rock into a refreshing brew of smash mouth Instrumental surf based rock.Their first  2 albums had very limited runs but still managed to snag some international attention .That said the band's 3rd  self titled effort is now out  and one has to be impressed .Coming in with 18 original  tracks of smash mouth surf rock that could wake the dead. There is no messing around here as most of the tracks come in at under 2 minutes and only a couple touch the 3 minute barrier.Hell this hits hard and fast and leaves you wanting more.Highlights include: "Blowtorch", "The Not So Surf Song", "Rocket Booster", "Kreetlugget" and "Magnum Swagger".

The Green Reflectors  are a band that understands what it means to deliver more bang for your buck and you gotta like that. This is one of those albums that hooks, then reels  you in and delivers in spades .Highly recommended!  https://www.facebook.com/The-Green-Reflectors-51648788591/timeline

The Blackrats - Shake Your Brain! 2014

When it comes to Halifax, Nova Scotia 's  Blackrats  the one thing you hear over and over again is that this is one fun band.Hell they maybe a horrorbilly /psychobilly band but they come off like a kool rock n roll band that doesn't take itself too seriously. If you want proof just check out their debut album 2011"s " Horrorbilly For Hire" and the 2013's ep "King Of Monsters". Both  pretty damn good and  thoroughly enjoyable.Recently the band singed with Splatterhouse Wreckords , a move that a few followers of the band found surprising considering their sound. Well the results are now out and "Shake Your Brain" is one very impressive album. We get 13 original  tracks that ooze horrorbilly, psychobilly  to rock n roll  that is pushed along hard  with a ton of killer saxophone.Yes it's more of the same but this more aggressive, bolder and bigger.Let's just say there's more meat on the bone and the result is the band's best effort yet.Highlights include: "They Attack", " Dance Of The Undead"," Goon Squad" and "Shake Your Brain".
The Blackrats aren't your typical horrorbilly band and they shouldn't be locked into that label. This is a band that  keeps getting better and really transcends billy based music."Shake Your Brain" is a killer album that's a breath of fresh air and is a ton of fun.Highly recommended! https://www.facebook.com/theblackratsofficial/timeline  https://twitter.com/Blackratscity http://theblackrats.bandcamp.com/
