Gutter Demons - No God, No Ghost, No Saints 2018

    They're is no doubt that The Gutter Demons are a top shelf outfit.Hell they have managed to carve out their own niche in the psychobilly world and are one of Canada's best bands,period. With a stout rap sheet of 4 studio albums and one live ,this is a band that's open for business and killing it.Now the band is offering up their latest release," No God, No Ghost, No Saints " and it's another sonic winner.This puppy is pretty much an all out attack that will colour you impressed.We get 10 tracks of hellbound psychobilly and one ballad .As a bonus there is also a hidden track at the end of the album. It's pretty much what one would expect ,however there is at times a more rock n roll feel here.That may be because the band worked with Frank Seguin (Matchless) .As a result this is of the band's better albums and that's saying something.Highlight include: Damage Case", "Ravenous", "D.O.A." ,"Roadkills" and "Cold Call"
       The Gutter Demons nail it here with " No God, No Ghost, No Saints "   but then again that should surprise no one.Some will argue that it's  their best yet and it's definitely one of the years best albums.You need to get this puppy and crank it so the neighbours will think your the koolest cat on the block.Highly recommended!!!

KINGS OF HONG KONG - Primitive 2018

Tagged as "trash merchants" and rock a rolla ,the Kings of Hong Kong definitely live up to the billing.Hell these cats slice and dice they're way boldly through rock n roll mayhem with a kool gleefulness  that gets you hook line and sinker. Since 2014 they have been serving up a wild dish that mixes rockabilly,garage ,punk, surf and psychobilly all with a serving of fun on the side.The band's latest and 3rd offering;  "Primitive" is proof of that. This time out we get a big bang for our buck with 16 tracks of sleazy rock n roll that stay the course .It's all action packed mayhem from start to finish.Even the album cover is damn sweet.There is nothing here not to like ,unless you hate rock n roll.Highlights include: "The Zigster", "Hell Yeah", " Dirt Bomb", "Primitive" and "Burgandy Shirt"

     
   Bottom line here is that "Primitive" is one wild,raw and pretty sweet slice of rock n roll .It's an adrenaline shot.Highly recommended!!

Lucky Lance & the Star Devils - S/T 2018

  Right from their start back in 2000 The Star Devils have been a top shelf rockabilly outfit.Despite only 3 albums (One as The Star Devils Trio) and their last release ,the single "You Little Witch" ,these cats have earned one damn serious rep and rightfully so. This is pretty kool rockabilly that takes a backseat to no one.Saying that ,the band has now dropped their the long awaited  4th album " Lucky Lance & the Star Devils" and this puppy doesn't disappoint  .We get 12 originals that range from all out rockers to hillbilly boppers and even a slow burner. It's  stout rockabilly that mixes in a dose of hillbilly and a touch  western swing.The result is a well balanced and consistent album that will color you impressed.Highlights include: " "Masticatin' ","Super Time Mama "," I Wanna Jump" and "Some Kind Of Cool ".
     Lucky Lance & the Star Devils have another winner on their hands with  this self titled effort.It's a pretty sweet ride that shows these cats are in top form and still have a lot of gas in the tank.Highly recommended !

The Green Reflectors - Tune-Up 2018

  There are a couple things you should know about the surf / rock instrumental duo,The Green Reflectors .One they don't dick around.I'm talking these cats throw down frantic and fast songs that for the most part are under 3 minutes.Secondly their damn good and aren't afraid to blow the roof  off  the joint. Hell they also have a  rep as a must see band. With an already impressive rap sheet they have just added "Tune-Up",their latest and best release so far. This puppy smacks down with 14 original killer tracks that will light a fire under your ass. We get a blast of  instrumental rock  that mangles up with surf and surfpunk .It's a hard hitting ,fast paced thrill ride that pays off big.This time out they stretch their legs and  go over the 3 minute mark 4 times. Proving they can push it and succeed.High lights include: :Rip Rap", "Coke Can Crab", "Run Away", The Western Song" and Surf Sea D.C.".

 
      Once again  The Green Reflectors deliver a big bang for your buck. They also up the ante here and as a result this will color you impressed.But then again if your familiar with them you probably already are.Highly recommended!!!
