The Nevrotix - Alive 2017/2018

Back in 2016 the young upstarts, The Nevrotix blew out the doors with their excellent debut album "Paranoid". Without a doubt it was easily one of the best albums of 2016. Their brand of old school psychobilly mixed with neo rockabilly is not only refreshing but it's also freakin' catchy. Now they are back with the sophomore effort "Alive" and man this puppy really ups the game.Proving their debut album was no fluke, The Nevrotix come out swinging hard  with 13 original tracks.Once again we get that kool old school psychobilly/neo rockabilly mixture but this time out the sound is more beefier and stronger.Hell these cats are flexing their muscles here and one has to be colored  impressed. There isn't a week track to be found here .Highlights include: "The Hatching", "The Plague", "No Name", " Nervous Beat" and "Fire Train".

The Nevrotix are like a fine tuned engine on "Alive".It's got the horsepower and doesn't disappoint. It's a no brain here, they're a damn good  but I don't think we really knew just how good .This is 100 % top shelf and a diffident must have . Highly recommended!!!

Mad Man Horse - Hits You Hard 2017

They say you can't judge a book by it's cover. Same goes for album covers, case in point the new debut album from Man Man Horse .Yeah the cover is pretty funny 70's cheese that will mislead many that aren't familiar  with the band  but the title " Hits You Hard" is bang on.If you are familiar with them you know that this is one rockin' psycho outfit [with one stout ep on their rap sheet] .You also will know that they are constantly compared to Demented Are .But back to  "Hits You Hard" ,this puppy crashes in with 13 tracks of ass kickin' psychobilly. This is loud, proud, kinetic and a whack of fun.Highlights include "Retarded Rock N Roll", "Rattlebone Rock", "Bad Blood Man" and "Dig Em'Up Rock"

Bottom line on "Hits You Hard" is that this is a killer album that delivers a knock out punch. If your looking for a band that rocks out these cats are for you .Highly Recommended

The Test Pilots - Parachute Party 2016

In early 2015 The Test Pilots came screaming out of Sweden with one hell of an ep entitled "Deadly Rhythms". These kats totally caught  pretty much all of the psychobilly/rockabilly crowd off-guard .The band then preceded to gain major international airplay and praise.Their brand of psychobilly/neo-rockabilly is strikingly fresh, exciting and full of potential. Now with the release of their debut album " Parachute Party" The Test Pilots are smacking down their hand and it's one that's hard to beat. We get 10 tracks here (9 new) that you can't help but dig. This is modern psychobilly with  old school flare and a stiff shot of neo rockabilly. At times it sounds familiar but it always sounds original and fresh,it's not your typical psychobilly. Highlights include: " The Blob", "Jumble Stomp", "Deadly Rhythms", Thin Blue Line" and "Flipped Out,Twisted n' Trashed".
You just know these guys don't hold to the usual constraints of psychobilly and that's a good thing.  The Test Pilots are one seriously talented outfit and "Parachute Party" bears that out. This is a killer album from start to finish and one you should snap up. Highly recommended!!   https://www.facebook.com/thetestpilots/timeline

The Nevrotix - Paranoid 2016

Once in a while a band comes down the pike that truly stands apart.Case in point ,The Nevrotix  these young upstarts from Sweden released a killer 4 song ep/ demo in late 2014.By mid 2015 these kats had garnered a whack of airplay around the globe as well as some serious buzz.Their brand of old school psychobilly with the right mix of neo rockabilly comes off strikingly fresh and modern. A lot of people, including myself are and were excited about the band's full album debut.Well it's now here ,call "Paranoid" and it's a real doozie. This puppy roars in with 11 original tracks of rockin' psychobilly that's hard not to like. All 4 of the songs from the demo are here and the rest of the tracks are as good and / or  better. As a result this is one really strong album that delivers in spades.Highlights include: " Mad About You", " Rampton Rage", "Hyena Bop", and " Moon Monster".

The Nevrotix have shown with "Paranoid"that they are a band worthy of the buzz about them. This is more than an impressive  debut  album,it's also stellar. This belongs in your collection and they may just become your new fave.Highly recommended!!   https://www.facebook.com/thenevrotix/   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyovel2zXV4Gaw3wm6UokfQ
