The Tumblin' Go Go's - A Living Sickness 2017

   When it comes to neo rockabilly / psychobilly groups ,The Tumblin' Go Go's take a back seat to no one. Sure that may not be as well known as some of the big guns out there but don't let that fool you.These cats have blazed their own path over the years and as a result they have  one hell of a stellar catalog that will color you impressed.That said the band has dropped their latest and most surprising effort yet.With  "A Living Sickness"(the band's 8th album),they slam on the brakes, really mix it up and rip out of the box.We get the usual neo- rockabilly/psychobilly with flares of surf, the  blues and shades of country ,but that's not all. This time out the band really defies the genre lines.Throw in a whack of sound effects,some low-fi ,some psychedelic and even more blues.This is dirty and dark, yet freakin' damn kool. At times it seems erratic but it draws you in and maintains your interest.Highlights include: "Blood Red Eyes", "Shitkickers", "Snake Demon" and "Salvation".

                 
        The Tumblin' Go Go's have taken a big gamble with " A Living Sickness" .As a result this puppy is eclectic as well as refreshing and daring.If your willing to take a chance, the pay off is big. Highly recommended!

The Nevrotix - Alive 2017/2018

  Back in 2016 the young upstarts, The Nevrotix blew out the doors with their excellent debut album "Paranoid". Without a doubt it was easily one of the best albums of 2016. Their brand of old school psychobilly mixed with neo rockabilly is not only refreshing but it's also freakin' catchy.Now they are back with the sophomore effort "Alive" and man this puppy really ups the game.Proving their debut album was no fluke, The Nevrotix come out swinging hard  with 13 original tracks.Once again we get that kool old school psychobilly/neo rockabilly mixture but this time out the sound is more beefier and stronger.Hell these cats are flexing their muscles here and one has to be colored  impressed.There isn't a week track to be found here .Highlights include: "The Hatching", "The Plague", "No Name", " Nervous Beat" and "Fire Train".

   
      The Nevrotix are like a fine tuned engine on "Alive".It's got the horsepower and doesn't disappoint. It's a no brain here,they're a damn good  but I don't think we really knew just how good .This is 100 % top shelf and a diffident must have . Highly recommended!!!

Ten Bob Millionaires - We Regret To Inform You 2017

Over the last few years the British rock n roll scene has quietly emerged as one of the best scenes anywhere on the planet. It's full of established bands and young bands that are damn good and have the will / ability to get their music out there.One of the better outfits  is the Ten Bob Millionaires,who arose out of the ashes of long gone The Rhythm Aces in 2011.Over the last few years they have become contenders and have earned a solid rep.These cats reside at the corner of rockabilly and rocknroll. Their debut album" We Regret To Inform You" kicks in with 12 kool and stout  tracks that are equal  parts rock n roll and rockabilly.They also throw in  some tinges of country and skiffle and as a result we get a sweet and enjoyable ride. Highlights include: "Blood On The Cobbles", "Part Time Loser", "Screw 'n' Smash" and "Bad News Travels Fast"
     

   
   Overall , "We Regret To Inform You" has a pretty kool vibe going on. At times it has a familiar ring but it also delivers the goods. Hell it's released by Western Star Records so you know it's one you gotta check out. Recommended !!!
