The Saucer-men - Fangs 2015

Over the course of 15 years the Australian outfit, The Saucer-men have managed gain a strong following,some international attention and have put together a small but impressive discography of 1 single, 2 eps and 2 albums.These kats  may be a neo-rockabilly band but they aren't afraid to mix it up and as a result the band's sound has a kool vibe. If you want proof of that you just have to check out the band's third and newest album " Fangs". This puppy rolls in with 11 tracks (10 originals) that range from straight up rockabilly to  country to rock n roll, some  spaghetti influenced billy and little splash of ska added on the side .Hell we even get some kool trumpet playing  on one track.It really is  a well balanced and diverse album.Highlights include: "Voodoo Stomp","Fangs","Ghost Train" and "Gangsters"

The Intolerants - 100% of Nothin' 2015

Since forming in 2014 The Intolerants  have quickly gotten down to business.Based in Sweden  they started out as The Struts put out a catchy single, "Heart Shaped Lips" then changed their name and finally signing on with Western Star. You could best describe these kats as a  billy based band that likes to mix it up.Hell they throw in everything from country to psychobilly in the mix and the results are pretty kool. The band's debut album "100% of Nothin' " is proof of that.This puppy comes in 13 originals and a nifty cover of " So Long Baby Goodbye". This is one solid and kool mix of styles/genres that has something for everyone.Ranging from slow burning country to psychobilly/rockabilly to straight up rocknroll.  Highlights include: "Crawlin' Back" , " Can't Be Arsed", " Red Dress" and "Number One".

     This is a strong debut that is diverse,fresh and satisfying. The Intolerants  cover a lot of ground here and they do it well.It kinda leaves you wondering  what next they have up their selves. Recommended !

The Brains - Out In The Dark 2015

 Over the  past few years Canuck psycho's The Brains  have emerged as one of the top psychobilly bands out there.This is one serious contender that has managed to release a string of 6 impressive albums that is hard to match.Hell the big questions about every Brains release is just how good it really is and how do   these kats  keep getting better.Their 7th and latest album "Out In The Dark" is now out and this little monster is nothing short of a real barn burner.We get 11 tracks of kinetic psychobilly with a wack of punk infusion.Yeah it's more of the same but  that's what they do and just like in the past they nail it.Highlights include: "Wolfman", "Lifetime", "The Witch" and "Killer".

    So just how good is "Out In The Dark",well it may not be as intense as say "Zombie Nation" but it is arguably  their best all round album yet and that's not an easy feat.This is a must have album by a band that not only delivers the goods but  are still hungry and again seem to get better with every release.Highly recommended!!

The Whiskey Daredevils - Nashville Surprise 2015

 Whether you love them or hate them  The Whiskey Daredevils   are one ass kickin' band that has always delivered the goods.Hell for over a decade now these kats have been  mixing it up and blowing up genre lines all while pissing off more than a few purist and growing their fan base at the same time . Too some they are cowpunk,alt country,rockabilly to others they are punkabilly ,Americana and  even hard rock to some(you get the picture).The band's ninth album;  "Nashville Surprise" has just been unleashed and let's just say they aren't pulling any punches here.This beast smashes in with 12 original that for the most part drive pretty hard,have attitude and really do impress.You don't have to be a fan to dig this.All the elements that make this band kool are here,only this time out there seems to be a harder more rock n roll feel and that really adds to the album. Highlights: include: " Always","Devil's Grand Marquis", "Milwaukee 8" and "Tuscaloosa Dagger".
