The B- Shakers - Let's Go Boogie 2017

Swiss rockabilly cats The B-Shakers are upping their game. With 2 solid albums under their belts, both loaded with covers ,the band has now stepped up with their third and impressive album " Let's Go Boogie "This time out we get 12 originals and 1 cover that finds the band hitting their stride and delivering the goods. From straight up rockabilly to rockabilly blues and surf, this baby packs a punch.Hell there is even some killer harp action thrown into the mix.Highlights include: " Jimmy's Got A Hot Rod", " Surf All Day", "Let Me Free", "Stairway To Hell" and "Jaenny Is In Love With Me".

The B-Shakers have always been a pretty solid outfit. The fact that they are now throwing down originals only makes them better. This is a band that really has found their groove and it's a kool one at that. " Let's Go Boogie" is easily their best and one album you probably should snap up.  Highly recommended !

The Hillbilly Moon Explosion – With Monsters and Gods 2016

You got to give it to The Hillbilly Moon Explosion, this veteran Swiss outfit has always blazed their own path.Sure they have whack of swagger but their koolness and sophistication  is backed up by an equal  amount of talent. This is a "billy" band  that has an impressive ability to change from one genre to another and that  separates them from the rest of the pack. Each release is a mix bag of goodies and their latest effort, "With Monsters and Gods" continues the trend. This puppy struts in with 14 tracks that are fresh ,diverse and pretty much what one would expect. However this time out they ratchet up the rock n roll/rockabilly,hell this is their most rockin' album yet. From straight out rockers to slow burners and the usual jumping over into other genres make this is one very  kool and satisfying ride.Highlights include: " Heartbreak Boogie", "Depression", "Temptation", the previously released "Call Me" and "Down On Your Knees".

To some The Hillbilly Moon Explosion  are a hard group to get into and this album "With Monsters and Gods" should change that. This is easily their  best and most accessible release to date. Recommended!!

The Royal Flush - Moonshine Truck 2015

Have to be honest here: I had never heard of the Royal Flush until just recently and when I actually first heard them I was blowin' away. Hailing from Switzerland  these kats formed back in 2006 and have been laying down some serious "raw and wild" rockabilly/rock n roll.Hell  Rockabilly Stomp Records(the same people who are behind  the successful  Rockabilly Stomp Weekenders)  made The Royal Flush their first signing. The result is the band's debut album "Moonshine Truck" and this puppy is pretty damn stout.Clocking in with 14 tracks that will color you impressed .From start to finish we get killer straight up rockabilly/rock n roll that doesn't let up.No filler here folks, this is all good.Highlights include: "We Wanna Rock, Rock Wanna Roll", " Friday Night", " Moonshine Truck" and "Let's Roll".

No matter how you slice it, this is an impressive album. Having been  recorded at the Black Shack Studio only adds to the end result. One of the best this year and a must have Highly recommended!!!

The Psychonauts - Do the Hoochie-Coochie-Trash-a-Billy Stomp 2014

There is a few bands that go by the name The Psychonauts and most of them suck .Hell there are even two psychobilly bands with  the name and you don't see that every day.The Psychonauts that concern us are the psychobilly/rockabilly band from Switzerland and this outfit is pretty damn good .Hell there kinda funny ,a bit out there and have a rep for been a killer band .Despite only having a couple of demos and been around since 2009,their rep is strong enough that people have just assumed they have an album or 2 out but sadly that not the case until now .The band's debut album "Do the Hoochie-Coochie-Trash-a-Billy Stomp" is now out and let's just say this is helluva fun ride. Clocking in with 12 tracks that will get you off your ass ,this is one puppy that's hard to resist. This may sit at the corner of psychobilly and rockabilly but it's injected with  "Garage Trash",punk and straight up rock n roll.Highlights include: "The Psychonauts"," Southside","Let`s Go" and the title track  "Hoochie Coohie Trash 'a' Billy Stomp".

The Psychonauts are one of those bands that can rock out with the best of them  but doesn't take itself  so seriously and you gotta like that .Do the Hoochie-Coochie-Trash-a-Billy Stomp is  good in fact  it  may surprise a lot people by how good it really is.
