Underwater Bosses - Aqua La Vista 2019

 In one form or another The Underwater Bosses have been kickin around upper state New York for a few years.Most notably as The Beard and Surfer R Cool. In late 2018 they became The Underwater Bosses and things started to break.They recorded their debut album earlier this year  and Sharawaji Records quickly signed them up and for good reason. That debut album "Aqua La Vista" is one killer and stout release.This puppy punches the clock in with 12 original tracks of  surf rock/surf punk.Hell they even throw in a couple of tracks with vocals and a little math rock, just to keep you on your toes.This is aggressive surf that doesn't overload  you and comes off as robust and refreshing.Highlights include: Bass Head", Surftacular", "Ride Of The Surfers Ride", "Surfin Hand" and " KGB Tsunami".
 

   
  Over all this is a one impressive debut album and one that you should snag up.It will have you hitting the repeat button on a regular bases,so what more do you want. Highly recommended!!

The Strays - Drop Out Zone 2019

  Since erupting onto the British rockin' scene back in 2017 The Strays have made a whack of noise.With 2 stout ep's under their belts and a rep as a killer live act ,you just got the feeling they are going places.While they signed up with Western Star Records and now their much anticipated debut album ; "Drop Out Zone"  as just landed and it is creating some major buzz. Rightfully so,this puppy struts and punches in with 13 killer originals of  fine rock n roll. Like in the past they throw in shades of rockabilly,psychobilly,rock n roll, pop and more into the mix.This is a band that is on a mission and isn't afraid too roll the dice.As a result this is one really damn fun ride.Highlights include: "Hey Little Lady", "Fives and Twos", "Drop Out Zone", "Break Me Down" and "Night Time Is The Right Time"

         
         Flat out  "Drop Out Zone" is a winner.It's modern rock n roll that takes chances and delivers the goods.It's loud,fun, and confident.It's also one of the best rock n roll albums to hit the streets  this year. Highly recommended !!!

Doyley & The Twanglords - Return Of The Twangi 2019

 
It's been around 2 years now since Doyley & The Twanglords released the impressive "Twang Solo" and now they are striking back with part 2 of the trilogy; "Return Of The Twangi ".This time out they stay the course and if you liked "Twang Solo" your sure as hell are going to love this one.Once again we get 20 tracks that deliver a sweet mix bag of instrumental rock and surf.This is one stacked album that has a whack of originals,a couple of covers,some demos and even a kool version of the Guitar Slinger's "Cybermen".As you would expect it's loaded  with sci-fi action ,some spaghetti to straight up surf  and more. Highlights include:"Botz", "Kicks Back", "Collision Earth","Grinder" and "Space and Twang"
   From start to finish "Return Of The Twangi" will color you impressed. It's one puppy you want to bring home and you'll be glad you did.Highly recommended!!!

No Hit Makers - For Evermore 2019

  For a bunch of cats that have been around for over 10 years the No Hit Makers  have a pretty limited  but impressive rap sheet. With a self-titled 4 track ep, released in 2010 and 1 track on the  " Rockers Kulture - The French Rockabilly Scene #1, also in 2010.Their  next release was ,1 track off the 2014 "Four On Fur" compilation.They are a band that for many has slipped through the cracks.That's a shame because this is one stout outfit that knows how to dish out some sweet neo rockabilly.With the recent release of their debut album "For Evermore" they have resurfaced in a big way.This rockin' slab of neo rockabilly/ rock n roll aims to please and succeeds.Punching the clock with 10 originals and 1 cover. Two of the tracks(both standouts); "You Can Cry" and "Blind and Deaf "were previously released.Overall this is a brisk and killer ride that will have you up and moving.Hell it's also damn refreshing and will have you hitting the repeat button.Highlights include: "Since My Baby...", "With My Old Black Cadillac", " You Were Too Young To Die" and "Bitter Taste".

         
   The No Hit Makers are a band you should definitely check out.They nail it with "For Evermore".It's one of the years best and easily cuts the mustard.Highly recommended !!!
