Reverend Horton Heat - Rev 2014

I have to admit  that I am a longtime fan of Reverend Horton Heat  so I am biased but no matter how you cut it  they are a great band. You could say their sound is a perfect blend of rock n roll and rockabilly and when these kats are on it few bands can touch them.Hell they are a must see band  in anyone's book .It's been over 4 years(2009) now since the band's last release so "Rev"(their 11th album) is kinda a big deal. This puppy is one smokin' album that is the best thing they have done since 2004's "Revival". Clocking in with 13 very solid tracks of rock n roll, rockabilly, surf and the standard one country tune.Highlights include:"Mad Mad Heart" ,"Victory Lap", "Schizoid" and "Let Me Teach You How To Eat".
Rev is refreshing, has a pedal to the metal feel and a sense of urgency about it .One gets the impression that Reverend Horton Heat is a rejuvenated band here.Still hungry and still killer. Highly Recommended !
