The Greasemarks are all about "nasty rockabilly".Since emerging from the wastelands of Southern Ontario back in 2007, they have survived numerous line up changes, gain a loyal following but more importantly: earned great word of mouth.Despite a small but strong discography they have landed spots on the biggest rockabilly festivals in North America .Back in 2017 ,that word of mouth helped them land a well deserved deal with Wild Records . The result is the new album, "Greasemarks" and to no surprise ,it's pretty damn stout. This puppy punches in with 12 tracks of "nasty rockabilly" that score a direct hit.We get 10 tracks written by the band and two previous unreleased tracks written by Big Rude Jake, "Knock'Em Down" and "You Come Undone" by Ronnie Hayward. They also rerecorded "Meatshakes" (a previous single). From a slow burner to all out rockers there isn't a weak track to be found here. Hell it's easily their best effort yet. Highlights include: "She's Wild", "Wolf Trash", the instrumental " Black Dice" "Jungle Savage Suzie".
The Greasemarks stay the course with this self titled album and are on top of their game here. It's a straight up winner and one you should grab.Highly recommended!!
