Vice Tricks - Vice Tricks 2013

Since 2008 the  Vice Tricks have been tearing up the Louisville scene and making a name for themselves along the way. Self declared as a "psycho rock" this outfit is really one bad ass psychobilly/punkabilly band .Word of mouth  on these kats  was and is pretty solid .Hell  word has even reached up to my neck of the woods(Canada) about them.So with 2 demo releases and 2 eps  under their belts, it time for a full proper album.The self -titled debut album comes ripping in with 13 damn solid tracks that don't let up.This is one of those albums that mashes psychobilly with straight up rock and the result is pretty good.Highlights include: " Over the Edge" ,"Drinking Lunch On a School Day"," Metropolis" and the kool "River City".

The Surftronics ­- Greatest Hits 2013

The Surftronics claim they hail from Surf City, Quebec and their debut album is called "Greatest Hits".Right away you gotta like this guys.By the way this two piece is known to dish out some pretty kool surf ."Greatest Hits" rides in with a kool mix of 14 originals and covers that clock in at around 35 minutes, so you know these guys keep it short and brisk.The band covers a lot  of the surf gambit here; from traditional to spaghetti  and spy .There is also a healthy dose of some "chessy "organ  throwin' the mix too boot.Highlights include: "Drive-O-Gringo","Submarine","Cactus Revolution" and " Frankie Goes to Shish Kebab".There is also a surprisingly  kool cover of  "Heartbreaker-Loving Maid".
  You just know The Surftronics don't take themselves too seriously and that they have a sense of  humor. The Creepshow – Life After Death 2013

Were talking The Creepshow so let's cut to the chase: is "Life After Death"(the band's 4th album) any  good and the answer is a resounding  yes.You gotta give it to The Creepshow, with all the changes these kats and Kitten have  manage to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat.I'm willing to bet a lot of people are going to be surprised just how good this is ."Life After Death"comes crashing in with 11 tracks that clock in at just under 33 minutes,this is a band on a mission.The band still delivers their brand of psychobilly/punk  but at the same time this is the most rock n roll thing they have done.The addition of  guitarslinger  Daniel Flamm to the fold  gives the band something they really were lacking in the past, a true guitar attack with a ton of edge.
Highlights include : "Born To Lose","Settle The Score","Second Chance" and "The Devils Son".

 At the end of the day "Life After Death"is arguably their best release and it's louder ,tougher and has more attitude than any of the band's previous albums.Talk about a band bouncing back !Wow. Recommended https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Creepshow/62979605646 

The Bloodshots - On Fire 2013

Since emerging on the New York City rock scene in the summer of 2012  The Bloodshots have really shakin' things up .The band became known for their dynamic live performances and the phrase "Dangerous Rockabilly" has been used to describe them.Hell word of mouth on these kats was and is still pretty good.With the release of " On Fire" (their debut) the band firmly backs up the buzz.Clocking in with 13 original ass kicking tracks that don't pull any punches.From straight up  rockabilly to a little country,some tinges of the blues  to rock n roll this puppy delivers the goods.So let's just say this is damn fine rockabilly. Highlights include: "Rollin' Out" ,"You Can't Break My Soul", the kool "Long Gone, So Long" and " Nothing Without You" .
