Washington Dead Cats - Attack Of The Giant Purple Lobsters

 No one can even accuse the Washington Dead Cats  of been boring.They have been one of the most entertaining and exciting bands out there for years now.Their brand of punkabilly/ wild rock n roll may have one shaking their head but there is no denying it's a blast of fresh air and fun.Also they have never been afraid to change it up ,you just have to check out the band's rap sheet of 12 albums and a whack of singles to see that. With their new and 13th album, " Attack Of The Giant Purple Lobsters" the band makes a return to their early wild side and it's damn good. This puppy smashes in 15 tracks of action packed wild rock n roll/ punkabilly .Once again these cats bring on the horns and  don't stay in the box .They throw in  garage,surf ,country and even some beatnik into the mix.It's an exciting affair that is tied together by 3 tracks about the giant purple lobsters.Highlights include: "Give Me The Fire", "Tiger In My Pants", "I Can't Stop Loving You ", "Hellhound On My Trail"and " Attack Of The Giant Purple Lobsters"

 

     The Washington Dead Cats have scored a  direct hit with " Attack Of The Giant Purple Lobsters". This is a flat out killer album by a band that knows how to deliver the goods and still has a lot of gas in the tank.Highly recommended!!

Stage Frite - Swanabilly Kink 2019

  Since their return in 2016  Stage Frite have been on a  roll. Hell they released 2 stout albums, "Psycho Gospel Hillbilly Love Trash", an all cover affair and then quickly followed it up with "Scarier Than Swans". Now they are  back with their 4th and best effort yet,," Swanabilly Kink" and this time out they mean business. Punching in with 11  killer originals and 2 covers that will color you impressed.It starts out with a short  piano version of "Swan Lake"(played by producer Alan Wilson) and then the hammer drops.This puppy proceeds to up the anti and the result is some wild and hard hitting psychobilly mayhem. It's an action packed  affair and the band's sense of humor helps drive it.Highlights include: "Rockabilly Weekend", "Messed Up Swanabilly Kink", "Sleep Feeders", "Massacre At Mudpike" and "Jugstore Baby"

     
    You can't go wrong with "Swanabilly Kink", it's damn kool hard rockin' psychobilly and a  flat out  killer album too boot.Crank this baby up and scare your neighbours and the kids on the block will think your pretty kool. Highly recommended!!!

Lou Cifer And The Hellions - Rockville Revelation 2019

Lou Cifer And The Hellions  are flat out kool ,hell one could argue they are the kings of Teddy Boy Rock.Since emerging from the Ruhr area in 1995 they have stayed the course and delivered refreshing and original Teddy Boy action.Over that time the result has been 5 damn stout and fun albums.Now they're back with  "Rockville Revelation" a delicious rock n roll serving that will have you up and at it. Talk about a good bang for your buck,this time out we get 18 tracks that hit at full stride and really keep the pace up.It's  all good and they even throw in a little hillbilly and some sax just to keep you on your toes. Highlights include: "Down Out And Restless", "My Mama Don't Rock", "Workman", "Dance With The Devil" and "Full Moon And Empty Bottles".

     
  It's always a pretty sure bet when it comes Lou Cifer And The Hellions and they nail it with "Rockville Revelation".You can't go wrong here. This is one sweet rock n roll / teddy boy album that is really irresistible.Highly recommended!!!
