Depending on who you talk to this German outfit are punkabilly, horrorpunk, psychobilly or yes, even hard rock.If anything The Rampires are a band that combines all that and more. One thing for sure is that these guys are less punk and billy now then when they came out in 2003. Bat Boys Never Die is the bands 4th album and comes in with 12 solid and very slick tracks. As in the past the band combines elements of punk, hard rock , psychobilly and even flashes of metal.Highlights include: "Blood Pack","Four Finger Punch"," Farewell" and "Porcelain & Glue" .
Some out there are claiming this is the bands best effort yet and my response to that has been: really.Sure the songs are pretty good and the band is in fine form and the album is really solid but "Bat Boys Never Die" sounds soo slick and glossy. At times this sounds, dare I say overproduced . I'm not saying this is candy coated but when you say you're "psychopunk" you best have a bit of a dangerous edge to you.For some reason this reminds me of a certain American psychobilly band that brought in some big shot producer to,well you get the picture.Hopefully that's not the case here. http://www.rampires.com/frameset.htmlhttps://www.facebook.com/Rampires
